FAQ

  •  What is nail acrylic?

The Gelastic acrylic gel is a nail elongation method which combines the advantages of acrylic and gel. It gives enough time to sculpt nails perfectly without the fear that the cuticles will be covered with the substance. The styling time is significantly shortened, and there is no need to file the shape. The product can be applied on several nails at the same time, and since the temperature of polymerization is lower, there is no stinging sensation from the curing lamp. Unlike acrylic, gel does not have an unpleasant odor, so it can be used in any nail salon. It accelerates and facilitates work, so it is a perfect method for not only experienced stylists but also beginning nail technicians.
  •  Acrylic or gel?

First, evaluate the condition of your client’s hands and nails to make sure that there are no contraindications to the treatment. You can style nails with the use of Gelastic acrylic gel in two ways: by choosing a fitting transparent template or with the use of Form Dual. Regardless of the method, you will need: an acid or acid free primer, PrimoUltimo, Gelastic acrylic gel in a color of your choice, Control Liquid, Cleaner Wipe Off, and Cleaner Super Shine. If you decide to style the nails with the use of transparent forms, squeeze Gelastic out of the tube and, using a spatula, put it on the nail (which had been covered with PrimoUltimo). Next, dip the brush in Control Liquid and distribute this product delicately near the cuticles and then over the nails. Remember to create the correct shape of an elongated nail. If you use Form Dual, match the form sizes correctly. Using a spatula, put the selected Gelastic on the bottom of the form, dip the brush in Control Liquid, and distribute the liquid on the nail, reaching the length of the natural plate. Remember that the liquid layer should be about 1.5 mm thick. Press the form to the nail plate, first near the cuticles, and then toward the free edge. Turn the client’s hand upside down. Using the brush dipped in Control Liquid, distribute the mass from the bottom of the form and shape the free edge. Turn the hand back and control the pressure of the form near the cuticles. Cure for about 30–90 seconds in a LED lamp or for 2–3 minutes and take off the form.
  •  How to put on acrylic nails?

Gelastic acrylic gel is insoluble, so it must be taken off mechanically – filed off with a nail drill (for example, Indigo style 2 or drill I, II, III) or a 100/180 grit file. We do it carefully, trying not to damage the natural plate. If the removal is to be followed by restyling, the surface of the plate can be matted. However, if the client wants a break from nail styling, the plates should be smoothed out with the use of additional buffers (for example, 220/280) and polisher (for example, Diamond) and secured with a nail repair product (for example, Nail Therapy).
