Protein Base is the hardest gel polish base in the Indigo range. It can be used to level out and build up the natural plate, as well as for infills. It will also work well with extensions of up to 5 mm. It is a base for gel polish nails as well as a base for building gels where it is enough to apply it as a rub-in.

This Indigo Base creates a layer on the surface of the plate, which acts as a shield protecting the nail against mechanical damage and harmful external factors. Its medium-thick consistency allows you to build a perfect upper arch even with a naturally flat or concave nail plate. Protein Base in a 30 ml size jar is a convenient solution for stylists who like to work with their brush.

  1. Wash and disinfect your and your client's hands. Put on your gloves. Assess the condition of the client's hands and nails to make sure that there are no contraindications for the procedure.
  2. Push the cuticles up with a cuticle pusher or a stick and remove them with your favourite e-file bits.
  3. Carefully matte the plate with a 100/180 grit buffer.
  4. Remove any dust with a soft brush.
  5. Soak a lint-free pad in Cleaner No. 1 and thoroughly dehydrate the nail plate.
  6. Apply a suitable primer (Acid-Free or Acid Primer).
  7. Apply a thin layer of the Protein Base and cure for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  8. Apply a second thicker layer of the base to gently build up the nail. Turn the hand over so that the protein base levels up well. Cure for 60-90 seconds.
  9. If the surface requires filing, remove the sticky layer with a cotton pad soaked in the Wipe Off Cleaner.
  10. Use a 100/180 grit file or a 100/180 grit buffer to even out the surface of the base and the free edge.
  11. Remove any dust with a soft brush and clean the surface with Cleaner No. 1 or Wipe Off.
  12. Apply the chosen gel polish. Adjust the number of layers to the selected colour and cure each layer in the MultiLed lamp for 30-60 seconds.
  13. Apply a selected top coat and cure it in the lamp for 30-60 seconds.
  14. Wait about 1 minute after curing. If the top has a sticky layer, remove it with some Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner.
